Input Modes
APPX input processes execute in any of four modes: add, delete, inquire, or change. The mode establishes the type of operation a user performs, relative to records in an APPX file.
Add mode permits users to save new records in a file.
Delete mode permits users to remove records from a file.
Inquire mode permits users to view records in a file.
Change mode permits users to modify records in a file.
A user can select the corresponding icon from the tool bar to switch modes at any time. You can, however, restrict a user's ability to access any mode. You can also interrogate the mode by using statements. Refer to the User Manual for additional information on the use of modes.
